I am a postdoctoral reseracher in the EEB department Moeller Lab at Princeton University. I earned my PhD at New York University in the Biology department, advised by Richard Bonneau. I graduated in 2025. You can reach me by email dj2080 at nyu dot edu.
I’m interested in genomics, biological diversity, and evolution.I started by working with plants and plastid genomes in angiosperm. I found the coevolutionary dynamics between nuclear and plastid genomes very interesting during my work with plastome structure variations and plant phylogeny. After joined nyu, I continued to explore more about host-symbiosis interactions in the context of human & microbes. See my Research page to know more about the ongoing and previous projects that I have worked on. I was born and grew up in Lishui, China.
Below are photos of my cat Luna. She is interested in shrimp, flashing lights, and all things moving fast.
